Ballysillan Youth For Christ - 'The Bluehouses'

Project: The brief for this exciting project was to provide new accomodation as an extension to the existing facilities on the site of a matching pair of semi-detached derelict dwellings. The new accommodation provides a large multi-purpose room, a range of offices and smaller multi-purpose rooms for classes and workshops. A lift and new circulation core work with the difference in levels on the site and create a social space with nooks and crannies for seating. A 'Staffordshire Blue' brick was chosen as a playful response to the charities nickname; The Bluehouses. The proposal is to be submitted for Planning Approval Summer 2011.
